Faye & John – A relaxed Hafod Farm wedding

I absolutely ADORED Faye and John’s wedding, it was such a beautiful, relaxed day with so many cute and quirky details. Hafod Farm is just the perfect setting for a wedding – nestled into the Welsh countryside with the mountains of Snowdonia as a backdrop – even the obligatory Welsh drizzle didn’t dampen the fun!

I arrived early to find Faye and her bridal party getting ready in one of Hafod Farm’s kitsch cottages, everyone was so relaxed and friendly so I knew it was going to really enjoy being a part of the day. The men, I was told, had headed out for a morning of surfing and brunching!

Faye had lots of little bridesmaids and page boys getting ready with her, including her own adorable little girl and boy… it really was cuteness overload when they all had their dresses and suits on!

The ceremony took place in The tall barn, a beautiful, rustic building which was lit with candles and fairy lights, creating the perfect romantic atmosphere. After the ceremony everyone headed to another little building, the Hafod Farm bar, for drinks (with their dogs in toe!). After time spent mingling with their guests, Faye and John braved the Welsh drizzle so we could grab some relaxed portraits around the grounds. I love working with couples who don’t mind a bit of rain, as it usually results in beautiful photographs!

Then it was into the marquee, which was decorated with so many pretty, quirky details, for afternoon tea and cake. There was even a bouncy castle to keep all the munchkins entertained! After some hilarious and emotional speeches, it was back to the Tall Barn for the partying to begin. Faye and John surprised everyone with an amazingly well choreographed first dance,  before everyone swamped the dancefloor for a boogie to songs played by the brilliant ‘Deltatones’.  The night ended with the toasting of marshmallows around a campfire. A perfect end to a perfect day. ♥
